Patrick Brandt Joins Telligent as Chief Executive Officer

DALLAS – May 19, 2009 – Telligent, a leading enterprise software company that enables customer and employee collaboration, announced today that veteran software entrepreneur and executive Patrick Brandt has been named chief executive officer and a member of its board of directors, effective immediately. Brandt succeeds Rob Howard, Telligent’s founding CEO.

Howard, who founded Telligent in 2004 and has been the company’s chief executive officer since its inception, has been named chief technology officer. This will enable him to focus on product development and strategy. Under his leadership, Telligent was the first to introduce a fully-integrated community platform and advanced social analytics.

“We are fortunate to have Patrick,” says Howard, “Evident by his track record, Patrick has exemplary leadership skills and a keen focus on operational excellence which will help shape Telligent as we continue our growth and global expansion. In addition to being a decisive leader, Patrick has demonstrated a unique commitment to customers, corporate culture, and the community, which makes me proud to have him beside me in leading Telligent.”

“I feel privileged to join Telligent at such an exciting time,” says Brandt. “Rob is a visionary in the technology industry. Working alongside someone as thoughtful and innovative as Rob will be exciting and rewarding.”

Prior to joining Telligent, Brandt was the founder and chief executive officer of Skywire Software. During his eight-year tenure at Skywire Software, Brandt led the company through organic growth and acquisitions, building a diversified software company that employed over 600 people and served more than 2,400 customers worldwide. In July 2008, Brandt led and negotiated the sale of Skywire Software. Most recently, he served as Chairman and CEO of iWave Software, a spin-off of Skywire Software. Brandt will retain the role of Chairman with iWave Software.

Patrick Brandt has earned several accolades for his business acumen, leadership and community service, including the Ernst & Young 2008 Southwest Area Entrepreneur of the Year® Award. An active community volunteer, Brandt serves on the boards of several non-profit organizations focused on promoting education and entrepreneurship among at-risk youth and encouraging philanthropy to emerging and established companies.
