SpeechStorm to Showcase Video IVR at Mobile World Congress
- One year on and the company behind some of Europe’s largest Video IVR-driven mobile banking services, prepares to unveil the next generation of self service Video IVR capabilities -
London & Belfast, UK – February 5th, 2010 – SpeechStorm, (www.speechstorm.com), the specialist provider of phone self-service solutions, has today announced that it will be showcasing its IVVO™ Video IVR service at the forthcoming Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona, February 15th through 18th. SpeechStorm is exhibiting on the Northern Ireland Mobile Excellence stand (IE61, Hall 1) which is sponsored by Invest NI, the economic development organisation for Northern Ireland.
SpeechStorm’s award-nominated Video IVR or IVVR (Interactive Voice and Video Response), combines familiar voice-based IVR self-service features with video to create a compelling visual experience, allowing a caller to interact with a real-time video stream by pressing buttons on a handset or through speech recognition. SpeechStorm’s Video IVR extends this further using dynamic video generation to deliver fast, interactive applications for mobile banking, customer self-service and interactive advertising for 3G video enabled phones.
Since its early unveiling at last year’s Mobile World Congress, SpeechStorm’s Video IVR has gone on to secure high profile market traction with mobile operators and banks alike.
New customers include two of Turkey’s largest banks, Turkiye Is Bankasi (Isbank) and Akbank who took advantage of their country’s new 3G network launch to offer Video IVR mobile banking services to their 25+ Million customers. This followed the much publicised success of Middle East based telecommunications giant, Etisalat, which was the first to offer Video IVR customer care services to its 8.5 million Egyptian customers using SpeechStorm’s Video IVR.
Damian Kelly is VP of Strategic Development at SpeechStorm and is very positive about the market take-up and momentum around Video IVR, “This is an exciting time to be working in video and we have only just scratched the surface of what can be achieved,” he says. “We see an increasing demand from organisations and service providers who want the ability to quickly and easily build their own video applications, not just for 3G video phones, but for a whole range of mobile and IP devices. SpeechStorm is leading the charge in this next generation of Video IVR and over the coming months we will unveil a series of announcements supporting this.”
