New Service Provides Affordable, World-Class Sales Performance Management Services for Small & Mid-Sized Companies
BURLINGTON, MA, & SCOTTSDALE, AZ, September 12, 2007 – Centive, the leader in on-demand sales compensation management, and Compensation Technologies, a leading provider of services for planning, implementing, and supporting sales incentive plans, announced today a strategic partnership in which Compensation Technologies will leverage Centive Compel® as part of their Compensation Management Services (CMS) offering to provide end-to-end support for their customers’ sales compensation programs.
Compensation Technologies’ new CMS solution is targeted at companies with 100 - 500 sales representatives. This service provides customers with a fully managed sales incentive compensation program that includes plan analysis, modeling and design support, plan deployment, reporting, analytics, and on-going administration. As part of the CMS solution, Compensation Technologies will also implement Centive Compel, provide best practice compensation processes, assist with quota setting and territory alignment, deliver dispute resolution support and help manage the adjustment process. Compensation Technologies works with its clients to customize the specific level of support and associated activities based on each company’s specific needs.
“Compensation Technologies brings 22 years of domain experience in sales compensation as we support our customers’ sales compensation programs in a process management service model,” said Merritt Alberti, vice president, Compensation Technologies. “Our expertise, coupled with technology behind Centive’s award-winning on-demand sales compensation solution – Compel, enables us to provide our customers with a full range of affordable services that alleviate administrative headaches, eliminate resource constraints, and increase the return on incentive compensation investments.”
Compensation Technologies will leverage Compel to automate sales compensation management, including modeling new plans, calculating commissions and bonuses and providing reports and performance analysis. In addition, sales representatives and executives will have real-time access to earnings, attainment and key performance metrics via Compel’s secure dashboards to keep the sales team aligned and motivated to achieve success.
“On-demand sales incentive compensation management systems deliver much-needed, real-time visibility into sales rep performance and offer cost effective alternatives to spreadsheet or homegrown commission systems,” said Joe Galvin, vice president and research director, Sirius Decisions. “Because of new services provided by companies like Compensation Technologies and Centive, mid-sized companies are increasingly able to leverage the benefits of sales compensation management without the high costs and resource demands associated with deploying, supporting and maintaining a traditional enterprise application.”
“Over 85% of US companies rely on spreadsheets and manual processes to manage their sales compensation programs. Most would prefer to automate this process, but many lack the time and resources needed to gather requirements and evaluate vendors then choose and deploy a new solution,” said Michael Torto, president & CEO of Centive. “This partnership provides companies with an affordable option that enables them to reap all of the sales performance benefits of an automated solution like Compel, and at the same time leverage the expert sales compensation advice, management, and operational excellence that only Compensation Technologies offers.”
