What Is the Best Location for the Marketing Department?

Hi

I work as a marketing manager in a manufacturing company which works in the food industry sector. The factory is located out far away from the capital city in the country. I wonder where should the marketing department be located. In the factory or in an office in the business center of the capital? what diffrences and impacts would it have on our brand image and positioning?

I think the markeitng department should be located at office in the business centre of the capital. As you are in food product you have to market your product by chennel marketing i.e. dealer network, retail stores ect. And their location at city area with good customer base will be considered as prime location for them. So if you got marketing team near by them it will be very easy to meet them or assist them as when required. And in certain case they also can visit your office confirtably.
