Hi Joseph,

I'm not familiar with everything that's out there. But I do know that two of our gurus, Paul Greenberg and Bruce Colbert, are involved in BPT Partners, a venture that does CRM certification. You can check out more at their web site: www.bptpartners.com.
Good luck.

It's nice to hear that there is CRM certification available for interested. But in what way it will help me if I am already working in CRM in my company. Mere getting certificate for what I do day in and day out will help me, what say?

With regards,

Hi Mandar,
That's a good question. Honestly, for some people, there is no benefit at all. But for most, there are two perhaps three benefits of CRM certification. First, if you anticipate either promotions from within or a move to another company, being certified in your field (in this case, CRM) means that you've been recognized (in our model) by industry leaders as someone who is uniquely prepared to move forward within CRM—depending on what you were certified in. For example, the national CRM Association lists all our graduates on their website as "CRM Certified" and we know that companies looking for CRM skills will go to the CRM Association website and source our graduates. We are recognized by multiple entities as the authority for certification, so the weight of the credential is substantial and could mean the difference between the CRM certified person getting the job over the non-certified individual of otherwise equal skills. Second, what we can't forget is that this is certification training which means that there can be real value in the training itself. For example, though you work in CRM, how qualified do you feel to utilize or develop a strategy for the customer engagement tools that social media represent, which is part of the new CRM "wave" rather than just the traditional operational tools. If you're senior management, are you fully aware of all the elements that go into a CRM strategy and what you might have to both do and not do to make a customer value centered strategy work? You might be able to do all that. The question is actually rhetorical, but you get the idea. The value lies in the peer recognition, the increasing skills that you need to keep up, the new skills that you can acquire and the benefit to a career, not just a single job. I hope that answers your question. If not, feel free to fire away and ask more or ignore me completely!!
