Murray Newlands is hosting yet another event in San Francisco this Thursday October 21st; this one is all around social media monitoring and features great speakers such as Marcel LeBrun (CEO of Radian 6), Jennifer Zeszut (chief social strategists at Lithium Technologies), and Timothy Jordan (developer advocate at google).  I spoke at Murray’s last event around social email (my talk was on Social CRM) and had a great time.

Listening and monitoring is a cornerstone in social media and social CRM and is the first step in developing any type of successful customer facing strategy.  I’ll be at the event as well and will be looking forward to engaging in some interesting discussions around social strategy.  Per the website:

“Monitoring Social Media (San Francisco) will bring together leading brands, PR and marketing experts to discuss the latest ideas, trends and techniques in social media monitoring and measurement.  Though a series of presentations, panels and expert-led discussions, we will explore the critical issues that marketers and PR professionals are facing in their efforts to monitor their social media interactions.”
